Do You Recommend Trigger Point Therapy vs Physical Therapy for Muscle Pain?

Point Therapy

At Valley Spinal Care Kierland, we use trigger point and we have physical therapy in the office as well. The protocol depends on the problem. The nature of the issue really determines what therapy we are going to use.

If it is a muscle pain that we feel needs to be strengthened and moved in that direction then we would recommend physical therapy. If it is a trigger point or it is a muscle spasm, it is a knot in there, then we would reference using trigger point therapy.

It really depends on the nature of the problem. After we evaluate the patient and do an exam, we can determine which course of action we want to take.

Dr. Chris Serafini at Valley Spinal Care Kierland offers a full range of chiropractic and wellness services that go beyond what many practices offer. He has created a relaxed environment that is optimal for you, the patient. Dr. Serafini can be reached at (480) 443-7678 and is located at 6339 East Greenway Rd Scottsdale, AZ 85254.
